Housing
The high-quality aluminum housing is machined from solid aluminum and anodized in black. The electronic components are completely encapsulated in the housing, which protects them against weather, water, dust and vibrations.
Display and features
The innovative dot matrix with 251 ultra-bright LEDs displays the speed as a horizontal, scalable light strip and all other functions as numerical values. The speed can also be displayed digitally at the push of a button. For optimum readability in the dark, in direct sunlight or at dusk, the brightness of the LEDs adjusts automatically. A speed limit can be programmed to activate the flash function: as soon as this value is exceeded, all LEDs light up in pulsating mode.
Special Feature: The motoscope mini display can show numerical values not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom. So the instrument can be mounted vertically!
Use
Use the supplied menu button or a handlebar button to navigate between the displays. By default, the display shows the speed. Other measured values can be displayed by briefly pressing a button. Optionally, the display can automatically return to the speed after a short time, or remain fixed on a specific function. Settings and values are saved, even without power.
Assembly
Thanks to its small dimensions, the motoscope mini can be easily installed on almost any vehicle: on the fork bridge, handlebars, existing instrument panels, or even flush-mounted in the tank or GRP. Universal brackets and specific solutions are available for mounting.
Connection and sensors
Simplified wiring makes installation accessible even to users new to vehicle electrics.
The supplied stainless steel speed sensor is very small (M5/25 mm) and with a 1.5 m cable can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Vehicles with a mechanical speedometer can also be easily converted.
The motoscope mini is compatible with many original speed sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) from various manufacturers. In this case, it is sufficient to connect the cables, making the mechanical installation of a sensor superfluous.
An intelligent self-learning function makes speedometer calibration easy, even for vehicles with sensors on the gearbox.
